If you are a refugee or asylum-seeker from North Africa or Middle Eastern countries
living in or around Little Arabia, VOR services are for you!
(1) Request one or more services below and (2) complete an Annual Registration for 2020-21.
We will follow up with your service request(s) when your Annual Registration is completed.

This is a place where your child can make new friends, enjoy fun activities online, practice social skills, and build character skills to do well at school!

Students will learn how about different apps in Google Workplace, with a focus on Google Sheets.

Winter Semester Dates: 1/11 to 3/26
Spring Semester Dates: 4/12 to 5/28
Improve your English ability with engaging teachers in groups sorted by ability (based on placement test). This class is free, but you are responsible for the cost of materials ($20 for textbook,workbook, and online resources). Scholarships are available to those with demonstrated need.

Do you want to get promoted at work, communicate better with your child’s teacher, or make shopping or other appointments easier? Improve your English with experienced speakers in a relaxed and informal group setting. This course is for those with moderate English speaking ability.
Thursdays
7:00PM to 8:30PM
Is your child falling behind in his or her classes at school? Would you like special attention to help your child improve his or her skills in Reading, Math, or other subjects? Register for weekly 1-hour tutoring for practicing skills and building confidence in a chosen school subject (K-12).
Mondays or Thursdays
5:30PM – 6:30PM
Are you in the process of applying for U.S. citizenship? In this class, a teacher will go through the information and topics on the citizenship test and provide practice interviews so that you can feel more prepared and confident when you arrive at your appointment with a USCIS officer.
Mondays 7-8:30pm New Class on the Revised Civics Test (starts 2/22)
Do your children enjoy movies? Now they can join their friends to watch one of three movies depending on their age. (under 7, under 14, and under 18). After the movies, the teen groups will have a time to discuss themes in the movie with their friends and Club leaders to help prepare them to live in the real world.
